In Italy the culture is taken into account less than anything else. Literature, cinema, visual arts: all groaning under the blows of men intent only to consolidate its position. Nothing new under the sun. Never before, however, have reached levels so shamelessly low.
This is a reflection which no one can escape. We can not hide behind false walls, we can no longer say that culture is something of a few. Culture is not just intellectual circles, not just elite snob. Maybe it never was. Culture is something for everyone. We must reclaim it.
